(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, liaison to the Department of Public Works, has been notified by NJ American Water that crews will be installing a sewer force main on East Bettlewood Avenue in Oaklyn beginning on Wednesday, June 8, and continuing through Friday, August 21. The project is expected to require the complete closure of two stretches along East Bettlewood Avenue.
“Any time construction requires the closure of a roadway, motorists should be extra cognizant of additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion while crews are at work,” Holcomb said. “Motorists should be aware of the closure and how this may impact their route. Additionally, always be mindful of shifting traffic patterns, as well as any crews, vehicles, or debris which may end up in the roadway.”
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews will close East Bettlewood Avenue to all traffic between White Horse Pike and Johnson Avenue, as well as between Johnson Avenue and Coldsprings Avenue. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area. The roadway will reopen each day at 5 p.m.
This project is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 21. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
