(Camden, NJ) – As part of the National Take Back Initiative, the Camden County Sheriff’s Department has installed a prescription medication drop box on the first floor of Camden City Hall at 520 Market Street. This initiative aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible way for people to dispose of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications.

“Everyone should take a look in their medicine cabinets and drop off any medications that are expired or no longer needed,” Sheriff Gilbert “Whip” Wilson said. “It is so important to safely dispose of prescription medications to prevent these medications from potentially being misused or abused.”

Items can be dropped off until April 29 at 9 a.m. when the contents of the box will be properly disposed of.
