(Blackwood, NJ) – On Saturday, April 27, the Board of Commissioners, and the Camden County Certified Gardeners will be hosting their annual plant sale with thousands of perennials, herbs, vegetables and more available for great prices.

The sale is being held at the Sustainability Campus at 508 Lakeland Road in Blackwood from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. The event will also feature a plant clinic, several short interactive workshops, as well as children’s activities.

“We look forward to this event each year because it is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to get their hands on a wide variety of plants and supplies to grow their own gardens,” said Commissioner Jonathan Young, liaison to the Office of Sustainability. “Gardeners can purchase annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and more, so please join us on Saturday for the sale.”

Attendees will also be able to pick up a six-pack of native plants during the sale. Available plants include goldenrod, swamp milkweed, tickseed, coneflower and more.

“Planting native species is essential to maintaining biodiversity and preserving the environment,” Young continued. “We encourage our gardeners to pick up a pack of native plants to help support native species here in Camden County.”
