(Camden, NJ) On Tuesday, the Board of Commissioners joined Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen, the Camden County Police Department, Camden City Council members, the Camden City School District and several community partners to kick off the fourth year of the Camden Strong-Clean Camden Campaign. This initiative features a series of community cleanups around the city that span through the Spring and Summer, beginning with the Cramer Hill neighborhood.
“This initiative shows that we care about this community and are investing time and resources into improving it,” Commissioner Al Dyer said. “We look forward to this campaign every year because we get to come together with our partners to clean up the neighborhoods of Camden and work together to give them a brighter future.”
Throughout the 2024 cleanup season, the city’s Department of Public Works will be on-site to pick up debris including large bulk trash items, Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM) will be providing free electronic recycling collection and Camden residents will be able to obtain information relating to recycling, e-waste, trash disposal, and litter prevention in addition to other city programs.
