Christina DeCristofor

Congratulations to Christina DeCristofor, 2021 Freedom Medal Award Winner.

Presented by Commissioner Jonathan Young, Sr.

Christina DeCristofor, resident of Gloucester Township, is the Creator of Operation Kindness (#OperationKindness, #OK), a Facebook group devoted to spreading kindness everywhere. DeCristofor is invested in helping others in various capacities, and has dedicated her life to her charity. She believes simple acts of kindness have the ability to change a community for the better. Depending on the circumstance, Operation Kindness will collect food, money, new or used clothing and footwear, furniture, and other household items for families and individuals in need of assistance. DeCristofor is also dedicated to continually providing support for hundreds of senior citizens throughout Camden County.

Operation Kindness has helped homeless families, people battling addiction, and those sick from COVID. The group also collects food and prepared meals for families and organizations including Volunteers of America Shelters, the Ronald McDonald House, Northgate II, and the Gloucester Township Family Resource Center. In addition, DeCristofor’s team has also assisted with home repairs, transportation, and even a wedding!

Monetary donations collected by Operation Kindness have been made to the Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund, a fund to pay for the college tuition of the children of Police and Firemen who were killed in the line of duty, and the New Jersey Special Olympics.
