The Camden County Sheriff presented an assortment of awards and honors to 80 members of his staff for their bravery and courage in the line of duty. Most of the awards were presented to officers who handled difficult situations and honored the outstanding work they did in resolving potentially volatile situations. In addition, police officers that went above and beyond the call of duty to build bridges in the community were honored for their thoughtful service.
“The officers of the Camden County Office of the Sheriff have shown us time and time again that they are exemplary law enforcement officials,” said Sheriff Gilbert “Whip” Wilson. “We use these awards to recognize them for their contributions to this county and to thank them for their selfless devotion to keeping our communities safe.”
