As part of the Camden County Police Department’s continuing community engagement through its Village Initiative, officers joined with volunteers from the neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon along with the City of Camden Department of Public Works to do a community cleanup in the area around 29th and Pierce streets in Cramer Hill next to Von Nieda Park. Officers helped with clearing out any trash or brush starting with the community garden and expanding out through the immediate neighborhood.

“By residents and law enforcement working together to clean up our streets and parks, we can make a real difference in the quality of life here in our city,” said Camden City Mayor Victor Carstarphen. “We will be removing trash, debris and general clutter from the Cramer Hill neighborhood so that residents and visitors can better enjoy Camden’s public and green spaces.”
