Camden County Health Hub to Close Later this Month

(Blackwood, NJ) – After nearly two years of operation and thousands of vaccines and COVID-19 tests administered, the Camden County Health Hub will be closing on April 27 to align with the current demands of the COVID-19 pandemic and federal government’s May 11 expiration of the public health emergency associated with the virus.

“This health hub has been a lifeline for so many since it first opened in October 2021,” said Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services. “But as the pandemic has entered its third year and a good portion of our population is fully vaccinated and boosted, we have received less and less traffic at the health hub and found it would be more efficient to shift our resources to other venues throughout the county. On top of being readily available at nearly every pharmacy and doctors’ office, our health department has begun traveling across the county multiple times a week to administer vaccines at pop up locations. So even though the hub is closing, we will continue to serve our residents in the most effective way we can.”

The Health Hub will continue to operate on its normal schedule until April 27. Hours run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays. You can make an appointment at the Camden County Health Hub by visiting www.CamdenCountyVaccine.com.

After April 27, COVID-19 vaccines will be available for pediatric Pfizer patients by appointment at the Bellmawr Regional Health Center at 35 East Browning Road in Bellmawr. Pediatric Moderna patients should go to South Jersey Family Medicine at sjfmedicine.com/services, to make an appointment or the primary care practitioner.
