(Cherry Hill, NJ) – Beginning on the first day of Black History Month, Camden County College in Cherry Hill will be hosting the A League Apart exhibition that showcases the stories of the Philadelphia Negro Baseball Leagues and their ongoing legacy.

A League Apart focuses on the importance of breaking barriers through photos and stories. The installation specifically highlights five individuals: Octavious Catto, Ed Bolden, Richard “Dick” Allen, Henry “Pop” Lloyd and Mo’ne Davis.

“I can’t think of a better way to honor and celebrate Black History Month than with an exhibition highlighting contributions and accomplishments made by Black Americans in our region,” Commissioner Jonathan Young said. “I encourage everyone to visit the exhibition while it is at Camden County College, as it is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of the Negro Baseball Leagues here in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area.”

The exhibition is free and will be at Camden County College in Cherry Hill from Thursday, Feb. 1 to Monday, May 20. For more information visit aleagueapart.org.
