(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Voorhees Township that crews will be installing a sanitary sewer on Burnt Mill Road at Homer Avenue tomorrow, July 30, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project will require a stretch of Burnt Mill Road to close overnight.
“Although the project is scheduled overnight, closures can create unexpected traffic, as well as debris, vehicles, and crew members in the roadway,” Shin Angulo said. “Until construction is completed, motorists should try to avoid the area and be extra cautious when near crews at work.”
From 8 p.m. Tuesday night until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews will fully close Burnt Mill Road between Somerdale Road and Fairview Avenue. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route utilizing Evesham Road and Preston Avenue to circumvent the area.
This project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours Wednesday, July 31. Scheduling and project timing is also dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
