Way back in good ol’ 2008, Tony took some ingenuity and his love of fine beer to his own stove top. What happened was nothing short of miraculous. Delicious, hand-crafted beer sprung from his imagination into reality. A passion for knowledge has led him to research everything he has been able to get his hands on from various techniques to exotic ingredients. Over the years, he has grown into the seasoned brewer he is today. Outdoor seating is available at the brewery with guidelines such as wearing a mask when not seated, practicing social distancing, and only admitting 21+ customers.

Before opening their doors in 2015, the founders set out to create something totally original yet inspired. The question always at the forefront – how does something become a classic? The answer – bridging vision and tradition. Taking their name from the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge (historically nicknamed the Double Nickel Bridge), they create beer that lets you experience something familiar but somehow have it feel completely new. Double Nickel Brewing strives every day to make beer that helps you reconnect with that sense of wonder. Curbside pickup is still available in addition to their outside beer garden. In accordance with NJ Gov’s regulations everyone must wear a mask to enter the beer garden and practice social distancing. Once you are at your table you may remove your mask and enjoy your beers. Right now they are operating as first come first serve for seating.

Chris’s vision for his brewery is that you are in his living room drinking his homebrew. The building that houses Eclipse Brewing is the former EMS headquarters and resembles a Cape Cod house. The tasting room is cozy and there are 18 taps behind the bar. One tap is for soda and the other 17 beers change week-to-week and can include light and dark beers, hoppy to honey, fruity to coconut beer. There is something for everyone. Behind the tasting room is the production room, where Chris loves to give tours and talk about his passion, brewing beer and the process behind it. He is proud to be one of the smallest if not THE smallest brewery in New Jersey. He usually brews three times a week on a one and a half barrel system.
