Bernie Kofoet is United States Air Force Veteran who served his country for many years, and once returning home, has continued to serve his community. He works diligently and tirelessly to provide services to homeless and at risk veterans in New Jersey. As a member of the American Legion Department of New Jersey’s Employment, Homeless & Education Committee he participates in the yearly Regional Stand Down. His primary responsibilities are volunteer coordinator and event layout designer. Through this he has developed strong partnerships with the DAV, VFW, Volunteers of America and Catholic Charities. This collaboration has enabled them to provide service to 350 veterans across NJ and provide services to over 850 homeless and at-risk veterans. Bernie is the Commander of the Camden County Veteran Advisory Committee and advises Camden County on Veteran events, initiatives and needs to ensure all Veteran needs are being heard and met!
