An Ozone Action Day has been declared for Tuesday, July 27th. The ozone has the potential to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups category for locations along and south of the I-95 corridor. Sensitive individuals, including the very young, the elderly, and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous activities during the afternoon and early evening hours. Due to wildfire smoke from the west, levels of fine particulates will remain elevated in the high moderate category, with the potential for some locations to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups category.
