(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 104 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 53,136 and 1,251 total fatalities.
Of today’s 104 new cases, 14 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 36 years old.

“With the start of the school year, it is even more important that parents get their eligible children and teens vaccinated,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The vaccines are safe and effective. If you have any questions about vaccine efficacy or whether the vaccine right for your child, I strongly urge you to seek those answers with your doctor or another trusted health professional.”
To date, 323,140 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 291,807 are fully vaccinated. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.
The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
