“The large amount of cases identified in individuals under the age of 18 just emphasizes the need to get children and teens vaccinated,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Children between the ages of 5 and 11 can now receive the Pfizer vaccine so we’re hoping that helps bring down the number of cases. Please, if you haven’t already, get your child vaccinated. You can make an appointment at the Camden County Health Hub by visiting www.CamdenCountyVaccine.com.”

To date, 414,813 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 317,253 are fully vaccinated and 70,463 have received a third dose. More information regarding vaccination rates throughout the county and available on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard at covid19.nj.gov.

The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
