278 New COVID-19 Cases Identified in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 278 new positive cases of COVID-19 which occurred between Saturday, November 27 and Monday, November 29, bringing the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases in Camden County to 62,598 and 1,363 total fatalities. 

 

Of the 278 new cases, 61 are among patients under 18 years old. The average age of the newly infected is 34 years old.

“As the weather gets colder and people spend more time inside, we’re seeing an uptick in daily cases,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “Health officials are continuing to monitor the cases, but I cannot emphasize enough how important vaccines and booster shots are. Those tools are the best we have in our fight against this pandemic. To date, 441,353 Camden County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 319,436 are fully vaccinated and 78,543 have received a third dose. The county Health Department is continuing to closely track new cases of COVID-19 and information regarding the prevalence of the Delta variant. New cases are often reassigned to other municipalities over the course of an investigation.
