Favorite High School Memory: One of my favorite high school memories is going to New York to see Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. I held my friends hand and cried so hard because the show moved me that much. I was so emotional. It was an incredible day that I loved being able to experience with my best friends.

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory was playing Sidney in “Our Place” during the 2019 One Act Play and Film Festival. I fell off a dock, dunked my head in a bucket of water, completely doused myself, and was dragged back out. My character had drowned and as I died, I could actually hear audible crying from the audience. It was my most absurd and moving performance. We worked incredibly hard on that show, and it payed off. My cast won the award for “Best One Act Play” and I received “Best Supporting Actress in a One Act Play’. However, the greatest part of the night was not the accolades won, but the camaraderie created. The One Acts Festival is a a huge celebration of the entire year of theatre and it felt amazing to spend that night with my closest friends.

Favorite High School Memory: I’ve had the best four years at HMHS, but my favorite memory has to be our closing weekend of “Hello, Dolly!” Our last performances were on March 13 and 14 2020, just when the COVID-19 pandemic began to hit hard. We were able to fit in our final shows with a limited audience, mere days before the lockdown. I was so grateful to sing and dance as Dolly for two final nights, and I will never forget how electric the energy in our small auditorium was that weekend.

Favorite High School Memory: My best high school memory has to be my freshman year. During this year I made friendships that have shaped me into who I am today. I was inspired by the senior class to always strive to be a leader and to do what I loved. I also reflect a-lot to the first year that started my growth and I compare it to my senior year to recognize the things I have done.

Favorite High School Memory: My most prized high school memory has to be performing in the All State New Jersey chorus. Getting to work with peers and being able to learn from them was fun. Opportunities like that always kept me excited about going to college because I know I still have a lot to learn from my peers and my future professors. Being able to sing in a hall such as NJPAC was also such a great experience that I will never forget.

Favorite High School Memory: By far, my best high school memory was on the stage during my Sophomore year. I had never stepped a foot on the stage in my life and suddenly found myself playing a lead, M’Lynn, in Steel Magnolias. Despite my nerves, opening night was one of the best moments in my life. Being swept up into the thrill of the stage is the most freeing experience I’ve ever experienced. Theatre also creates amazing connections with the cast, and a second family you never knew you needed.
