R.A.M.P. Program
Please Note: The following program is currently suspended due to budgetary constraints
The Camden County Department of Corrections (CCDOC) has developed relationships with non-profit organizations which work with clients who need ramps. The non-profits refer clients to the department. It is the responsibility of the client to contact the nonprofit organization.
The CCDOC sends an officer to determine if the homeowner's house can accommodate a ramp. Meanwhile, the nonprofit organization verifies the homeowner's physical and financial need. The CCDOC designs plans for the ramp. The homeowner obtains all the necessary local building permits for the ramp construction. The nonprofit organization is responsible for certifying clients, and paying for the wood and other materials. The homeowner provides lunch for the inmate work crew.
