Bobby W. Harris


Congratulations to Bobby W. Harris, 2021 Freedom Medal Award Winner.

Bobby W. Harris, resident of Sicklerville, has been involved in community affairs and programs for decades. Harris is an accomplished entrepreneur of the South Jersey area with more than 30 years of experience. He is a pillar in his community and has committed himself and his organization to building a better community for South Jersey residents. 

As one of his visions to work in the community, Bobby W. Harris founded the DOT Organization, Inc. (Dreams of Tomorrow) as a charitable and educational means of addressing community concerns. Harris has determined that a remedy to many of these issues is the leadership of and influence on community teens. Recent statistics have encouraged him to step forward and make additional strides in partnering with local, state, and federal organizations to create a better and safer community for all residents.

Harris has partnered with large corporations such as Atlantic City Electric, Sam’s Club, Wawa, Inc, Camden County College-Blackwood Campus, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Department of Child Protection and Permanency, Foster or Adoptive Parent, and intends to call upon these and other companies to assist him in his community efforts.

  • Recipient of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., NJ Garden City Alumnae Chapter Real Fathers Real Men Founders Award
  • President, National Pan-Hellenic Council of Atlantic County
  • President, Winslow Township Schools Education Foundation
  • Founder, CEO, and Board President of A.B.L.E. (Association of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs)
  • Member of the NAACP Camden County East
  • Member of the Community Planning & Advocacy Council, Youth Services Commission
  • Member of the Gloucester County Law Enforcement Diversity Recruitment Initiative
  • Founding member Pi Kappa Kappa Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
  • Recipient of the NAACP Outstanding Citizen Award; NAACP Visionary Award; Zeta Man of the Year; Omega Man of the Year; Omega Citizen of the Year; and Business Man of the Year
  • Recipient of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Upsilon Delta Omega Chapter Community Award
  • Entrepreneur – Carolina Beauty Supplies and Salon

Harris currently resides in Sewell, New Jersey with his supportive wife Sheena. They have one daughter, one son, and three grandchildren.
