(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be repairing a gas main at 16 West Collings Avenue in Collingswood tomorrow, July 26. The project will require a partial closure of the roadway at the intersection with Haddon Avenue.
“Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if you typically access West Collings Avenue from Haddon Avenue along your commute,” Shin Angulo said. “This is a heavily trafficked area, and the posted detour route will likely cause sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will close part of the intersection at West Collings Avenue and Haddon Avenue. Traffic traveling westbound on Haddon Avenue will not be able to make a left turn onto West Collings Avenue and will be directed along a posted detour route. Traffic traveling eastbound on Haddon Avenue will not be able to make a right turn onto West Collings Avenue and will be detoured as well.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Friday, July 26. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
