(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Division of Weights and Measures has received numerous phone calls and complaints regarding a possible fuel contamination issue at a Conoco gas station located at 1901 Admiral Wilson Boulevard in Camden City after winter storm Finn moved through the area on Wednesday.

Upon receiving the complaints, the division immediately opened an investigation last night and the division is awaiting test results to come back. During the investigation, numerous vehicles were seen broken down nearby on the side of the road with several others being towed off of the westbound lane of the boulevard.

“We are monitoring this situation very closely and working quickly to get to the bottom of it,” Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, liaison to the health department. “We have teams investigating the possibility of water contamination in the underground storage tanks due to flooding caused by the storm and we will continue to update the public as needed. In the meantime, if you believe your car was impacted, please contact the Camden County or Camden City Division of Weights and Measures.”
