(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by New Jersey American Water that crews will be installing two water mains on Sunday, July 1, and Monday, July 2.

“Crews will be working overnight to install water mains in these two areas, so please be aware of any closures and plan accordingly,” Shin Angulo said. “Each project will affect the roadway differently, so it’s important to know how these projects may impact your commute and how to best navigate the area. As always, when you’re near the construction be prepared for sudden stops and shifting traffic patterns.”

From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday, crews will be installing new water mains at the intersections of both Somerdale Road and Warwick Road in Somerdale, and Stone Road and Park Avenue in Laurel Springs. Crews will continue working at the same intersections through Monday night as well.

In Somerdale, the intersection will close. Police will be on scene directing traffic toward McMichael Avenue and W. Atlantic Avenue for traffic headed toward Magnolia on Warwick Road. Traffic headed away from Magnolia will utilize W. Atlantic Avenue and Terrace Avenue to get back on to Warwick Road.

In Laurel Springs, police will be on scene directing alternating traffic in one direction around the work area. Park Avenue will be closed to thru traffic while crews are at work.

The projects are expected to be completed by Tuesday morning. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
