President Joe Biden promised to break this glass ceiling during his campaign in 2020 and he delivered by nominating the most intelligent and thoughtful jurist throughout the nation to the high court. Moving forward, generations of young women can look to Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and know that anything is possible and that no job in the legal profession is unattainable. Moreover, as a nation we will have a high court that properly represents and reflects the diversity of our great country. We can also continue to break down the barriers that have been obstacles in the past. Today, President Biden delivered on the promise that is part of the rich foundation of this great experiment we call America. He brought more equity to the highest court in the land, which can give us all hope for a more perfect union. This is a historic day for our country that should be celebrated throughout the nation.”
