The statement below is by Freeholder Bill Moen in regard to tonight’s Assembly Transportation Committee hearing at the Cherry Hill Municipal Building.

“Tonight, state legislators will be hosting a public hearing of the Assembly Transportation Committee at the Cherry Hill Municipal Building at 6:00 PM. I encourage Camden County residents to attend this hearing and to express their concerns directly to state transportation officials regarding the closure of the NJ Transit Atlantic City Rail Line.

The Line has been the primary mode of transportation for thousands of daily commuters in our region for years, and its closure has made commuting across South Jersey unprecedentedly difficult. The continued closure of this service negatively impacts our residents, our roads, and our entire region. This will be an excellent opportunity for our state legislators to hear from those affected by the shutdown of this critical transportation service, and to ensure that this issue is resolved as quickly as possible.”
