Valente’s Italian Specialties is committed to remaining cognizant of its impact on the environment and minimizing its footprint on it. They are a member of the NJ Sustainable Business Registry.
Valente’s participates in Shop Haddonfield’s Property Tax Card program. Participating shoppers receive a property tax credit awarded to them totaling 7.5% of the price of each sale.
Valente’s works with local farmers to support the community and minimize travel. They source many items from local vendors within a 20-mile radius of their store. In the first four months, they have saved over 4,000 miles in travel related expenses.
They also work to minimize food waste through a number of composting and reuse programs.
Marcello is a member of Sustainable Haddonfield, which works in conjunction with the Haddonfield Environmental Commission to encourage sustainable use of the community’s natural, human, and economic resources.
