Mt. Ephraim Ave Public Meeting Notice

Camden County is currently in the preliminary engineering phase for roadway improvements to Mt. Ephraim Avenue (CR 605), from Ferry Avenue (CR 603) to Pine Street, in the City of Camden. The purpose of the project is to improve pedestrian safety and reduce traffic incidents in the corridor.

During the concept development (planning) phase of the project that was completed in 2020, Camden County held several stakeholder and public meetings to brief agencies and businesses along Mt. Ephraim Avenue about the project and to solicit comments and input on the proposed alternatives. Based on input, a preferred alternative was selected to begin formal design.

The new design will provide improved sidewalks, crosswalks and bump outs at various intersections, provide an asphalt pavement overlay for improved roadway striping visibility and replace the existing traffic signals so that they conform to current standards. Transportation improvements along the Mt. Ephraim Avenue corridor are essential to achieving the long-term vision for a revitalized neighborhood.

Camden County will hold a virtual Public Information Center about the Mt. Ephraim Avenue Roadway Safety Improvement Project.
