The Camden Water Trail is a 13-mile trail connecting current and future park lands and water access points. It aims to encourage recreation on and around the Back Channel and Cooper River, providing ample access sites and interpretive opportunities to users.
This project is in Phase II with additional parks lands, access points and interpretive signs to be installed by 2023. Camden County Board of Freeholders, Discover the Delaware partners and local officials are helping to make this vision a reality, including Camden’s Mayor Frank Moran and Parks Liaison Commissioner Jeffrey Nash who have been kayaking on the Cooper River many times in support of these efforts.
