COVID-19 Updates and Virtual Programming
The Camden County Board of Freeholders declared a state of emergency in Camden County in response to the global pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). As a result of the declaration, all nonessential employees and personnel county-wide were asked to work from home. This declaration was amended to extend the order indefinitely keeping county offices closed until a safe end date has been determined by the Camden County Health Department.
As such, all of the in-person programs for Individuals with disABILITIES have also been cancelled indefinitely. We will continue in-person programming again once it is recommended and safe to do so. Thank you for your understanding.
The Camden County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs is offering online and virtual programing during this time. This page will be updated as new programming is announced. Stay tuned for more information about live-stream Camp Sunny Side sessions.

Camp Sunny Side
Due to the Corona Virus pandemic and emergency measures put in place for public safety, Camp Sunny Side 2020 has been cancelled. Moving forward during these difficult times and the need to stay safe we are very happy to inform you about Camp Sunny Side Online, a virtual camp experience designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. Everyone can stay home and still have fun participating in camp activities such as, arts and crafts, music, social skills and field trips just to name a few. Camp Sunny Side, “ on campus” is a state certified day camp for individuals, 13 years of age and older. Each day we provide a wide variety of activities that includes, art, music ,fitness and sports, computer learning and social skills, just to name a few. Camp is close to home and is located at the Camden County College in Blackwood.
Camp begins June 29, 2020 and ends July 31, 2020 – Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost is $75 per week ($375 for all 5 weeks)

Summer Evening Workshops
The Summer Evening Workshop is for adults 18 years of age or older. Those who have job responsibilities during the day can now join in the fun, weeknights, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting July 7th and continuing until July 30th. Each evening will offer a variety of recreational and educational activities. There is a minimal fee of $15 per week, per person. Transportation is available. Bus will depart from Haddon Lake Park in Mount Ephraim. Call (856) 216-2121 for further details. Workshops are located at Madison Hall at Camden County College.
