(Merchantville, NJ) – PSE&G will be restoring pavement on East Park Avenue in Merchantville on Wednesday, Dec. 8. There will be a partial road closure southbound on East Park Avenue between Cove Road and Chestnut Avenue for the duration of the work period.

“This work is just another investment we are making to our infrastructure here in Camden County,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “This project will result in more efficiency and safety for motorists while they travel on East Park Avenue.”

Work hours will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

“The flow of traffic will return to normal once this work is completed,” Dyer said. “Motorists should use caution while driving through construction areas and give themselves extra time to get to their destination in case of possible delays.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway and 50 bridges.  They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
