(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), and NJ American Water, of projects which will impact travel in Camden City beginning Thursday, Dec. 5. The projects will require complete closures of both 27th Street and Ferry Avenue while crews are at work.

“These are separate projects that will be impacting traffic in the city during overlapping hours,” Shin Angulo said. “Both closures are capable of producing abnormal traffic patterns in the surrounding area. Motorists should be especially mindful of sudden stops, delays, and any personnel or equipment that might end up in the roadway.”

On Thursday, Dec. 5, and Friday, Dec. 6, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., crews for PSE&G will be revisiting the site of previous gas leak repairs on Ferry Avenue. The project will require the complete closure of Ferry Avenue between Miller Avenue and Mulford Street.

Also on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., crews for NJ American Water will be conducting concrete restorations on 27th Street at High Street in Camden. The project will require a complete closure of 27thStreet between Saunder and Cramer Streets.

Motorists will be directed along posted detour routes at both locations to circumvent the construction areas. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
