(Lindenwold, NJ) – County Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be repairing a gas leak at 1309 Kaighn Avenue in Camden on Monday, May 3, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. The repairs will require part of the roadway to be closed to traffic.
“Always be extra cautious when driving through or near an active construction area and be sure to provide additional space for crews to operate safely,” Dyer said. “Motorists should be aware of this schedule and how it may affect their commute. If you cannot avoid the area, stay especially vigilant for sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and crews, vehicles, or debris that may end up in the roadway.”
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, crews will close Kaighn Avenue between Haddon Avenue and Princess Avenue to all traffic. Baird Boulevard and Kaighn Avenue will also be closed to thru traffic between Park Boulevard and Princess Avenue. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route around the area.
This project is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Monday, May 3. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
