(Gloucester Township, NJ) – Poll workers are needed across the region to work at polling centers during the early voting period of June 3 through June 5 and on Election Day, June 7. Applicants can earn $21.43 per hour working on early voting days and $300 for the day to work on Election Day. To apply go to www.PollWorker.NJ.gov or call (856) 401-8683.
“We encourage of our residents here in Camden County, particularly those who cannot get to the polls in person on June 7, to make sure their voices are heard by mailing in their ballots or the early voting period,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. “Additionally, we are in need of poll workers for the upcoming primary election. So we’re also encouraging anyone who has a desire to perform a critical public service to please contact the Camden County Board of Elections.”
Residents are always needed to work on Election Day for processing voters who come to the polling place to vote. By law, Board workers must be registered to vote, and either be Democrat or Republican. An unaffiliated voter may declare their party and then be eligible to work as a Board worker. Training is mandatory and a Board worker must be recertified every two years. Board workers are paid for each Election Day. For more information call (856) 401-8683.
