(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by New Jersey American Water that crews will be completing a final paving restoration at 1536 South Broadway in Camden City on Monday, Aug. 26. The project will require a full closure along a stretch of the roadway while crews are at work.

“This project will require a portion of the roadway to be completely closed, so motorists will want to plan their commutes accordingly,” Shin Angulo said. “Motorists should try to avoid the construction area while crews are active. If you must drive through the area remember to be extra cognizant of construction crews, vehicles, and debris, and to expect sudden stops and shifting traffic patterns.”

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, crews will close Broadway between Everett Street and Jackson Street. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour route utilizing Jackson Street, South 6th Street, and Everett Street, to circumvent the closed roadway.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Monday, Aug. 26. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
