Earlier this week, water damage occurred in the building due to a broken pipe in a fire sprinkler. Due to the damage, the site will undergo remediation and repair work including removing and replacing the carpet, drywall repairs and general cleaning and disinfection. Due to the nature and extent of the work, staff will be temporarily transferred to other library locations to work.
“We have installed signage at the branch to direct patrons to contact other branches if they need assistance. Our website and social media will also be updated with this information,” said Commissioner Melinda Kane, liaison to the Camden County Library System. “Additionally, the book drop at this location is closed. But our other locations are operating at normal hours and we will update our patrons if there are any changes.”
Due dates for materials checked out from this location have been extended through August 1st, so patrons do not need to return items now. Patrons can also return materials of our other branches. Patrons with holds waiting for pickup have been contacted.
Please visit http://www.camdencountylibrary.org for the locations and operating hours of the other branches of the Camden County Library System available for your use during this reduction in hours.
