(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 23 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 7,141 in Camden County today and 349 total fatalities.

“Although the Governor announced today that the stay-at-home order in New Jersey has been lifted, this pandemic is still a long way from over,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “While this is welcome news for all of us, the loosening of these restrictions means that the virus will be able to spread rapidly again if we let our guards down. This fight will be ongoing until there is a safe and widely available vaccine and treatment for COVID-19. Until that time, we must continue to keep ourselves separated via social distancing, wear a mask or face cover when in public, and practice good hand hygiene to prevent contracting or spreading coronavirus.”
