(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 17 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 49,150 in Camden County today and 1,203 total fatalities.
“Cases continue to fall thanks to vaccinations and warm weather, but we have to make sure this progress lasts beyond the summer,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The only way to know you’re protected is to get vaccinated. If you haven’t gotten your shot yet, the COVID-19 vaccine has never been so readily available at pop-ups, major vaccine centers, or other local providers. Don’t wait until numbers start increasing again to get protected.”
The Department of Health is announcing 17 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
To date, 464,741 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 263,167 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 221,030 people who are fully vaccinated.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,362 confirmed resident cases and 1,386 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 49,150 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 462 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,203 total fatalities countywide.
The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
