(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 33 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 49,042 in Camden County today and 1,190 total fatalities.
“With more than 216,000 county residents already fully vaccinated, we have made incredible strides in our pursuit of achieving herd immunity,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “That said, we still have a long way to go until we’ve stopped the spread of this virus in our community. If you haven’t gotten your shot yet, please visit our vaccine center or another provider as soon as possible to get protected and help put this pandemic behind us.”
The Department of Health is announcing 33 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
To date, 456,653 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 259,056 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 216,897 people who are fully vaccinated.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,357 confirmed resident cases and 1,386 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 49,042 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 462 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,190 total fatalities countywide.
The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
