New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 81 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 48,246 in Camden County today and 1,175 total fatalities.

 

“The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services is continuing our efforts to ensure that everyone has access to vaccination services by taking vaccines out of the vaccination site and bringing them into the community,” said Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This week we will be back in Cooper River Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Next week we will be at Ablett Village in Camden City and will continue to identify other well-traveled locations throughout the county in the weeks and months to come. The Department of Health is announcing 81 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,348 confirmed resident cases and 1,376 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 48,246 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 461 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,175 total fatalities countywide.

 

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.

Residents should also download the COVID Alert NJ mobile application on their Apple or Android device where they can view the latest information regarding COVID-19 in the state and be notified of potential exposures to the virus.
