New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 103 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 47,445 in Camden County today and 1,167 total fatalities. 

 

“Today, the Camden County Health Department and its partners kicked off our first popup vaccine site in Cooper River Park to continue getting vaccines into the community,” said County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “If you have not been vaccinated, now is the time to schedule an appointment, walk into our site, or find the location of our next pop up. The vaccines are safe, effective, and our only way to put this pandemic behind us.”

 

The Department of Health is announcing 103 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

To date, 388,932 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There are 231,760 people with at least one vaccine dose, and 173,248 people who are fully vaccinated.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 2,381 confirmed resident cases and 1,388 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 47,445 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 466 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as seven staff deaths, out of our 1,167 total fatalities countywide.

 

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
