New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 46 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 6,053 in Camden County today and 294 total fatalities. 

 

“Today, we are sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone who has been diagnosed with this insidious virus whilst we wish them a full and fast recovery,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “This weekend, we pay tribute to those American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. While we are unable to gather in person because of social distancing measures in place to stop the spread of this virus, we will still be honoring our fallen veterans and gold star families with a special online service. The Department of Health is announcing 46 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

Beginning tomorrow, new cases and deaths in Camden County will no longer be announced on weekends or holidays. All weekend cases and deaths will be announced on the next business day and will be properly attributed to the day they were received.

 

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,012 confirmed resident cases and 296 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 6,053 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 215 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as two staff deaths, out of our 294 total fatalities countywide.
