(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 94 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 4,179 in Camden County today and 218 total fatalities.
“Today, I want to take a moment to reflect upon all of the Camden County residents whose families have lost a mother or grandmother during this pandemic. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, especially today, and that we wish your family peace during these unprecedented times,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “On this very unusual Mother’s Day, I hope that families throughout Camden County have found safe, responsible ways to celebrate and show their loved ones how much they are valued. As we continue to experience holidays under stay-at-home orders, the urge to skirt restrictions and ignore social distancing guidelines will only grow stronger. Our community has done an incredible job thus far at adhering to the governor’s orders and working to keep one another safe. Especially on days like today, when we typically gather with older, more vulnerable family members, please continue to take this threat seriously and gather virtually or via other methods that allow you to maintain appropriate social distance.”
