(Gloucester Township, NJ) –The Camden County Department of Health is announcing 126 additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 3,347 in Camden County today and 138 total fatalities.
“Despite dramatically increasing access to testing countywide, new cases in Camden County have remained steady each day, while our growth and doubling rate continue to trend in positive directions,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “The residents of Camden County have taken this threat seriously, and their sacrifices are turning into progress as we fight this insidious virus. We cannot stress strongly enough that the fight ahead remains arduous and will not be over quickly. However, we would undoubtedly have lost more lives and faced a greater burden in our hospitals if not for the dedication and adherence to guidelines shown by our residents. We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s hard work to flatten the curve and beat coronavirus for good.”
The Department of Health is announcing 126 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.
In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 833 confirmed cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 3,347 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 125 deaths have been reported from these facilities out of our 138 total fatalities countywide.
