Naturalization Ceremony at Camden Hall of Justice Welcomes New Citizens

(Camden) The Camden Hall of Justice, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, hosted a naturalization ceremony today, Flag Day, June 14. Twenty-four applicants from 15 countries participated in the ceremony.

Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, the first Korean-American woman elected to public office in the State of New Jersey and a naturalized citizen, will delivered the keynote address.

“Becoming an American citizen and taking the oath was a day I will never forget, and it was an absolute dream come true for me,” Shin-Angulo said. “This ceremony marks the beginning of a new journey for these 24 new Americans, and delivering the keynote address to them is an honor.”

Assignment Judge Deborah Silverman Katz presided over the ceremony and administer the Oath of Citizenship.
