Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. provided remarks at a rally against gun violence on Monday, March 29th. The rally was organized by New Jersey Moms Demand Action in the wake of two mass shooting events in Atlanta, GA, and Boulder, CO, in March.
“Our nation remains the only industrialized country in the world where these types of mass casualty events play out on daily basis,” Cappelli said. “We urgently need comprehensive, common sense gun reform in this country. Getting back to normal from the pandemic cannot mean getting back to these tragic killings.”
Event organizers and participants met at the parking lot located next to Grooveground Coffeebar in Collingswood. Participants were socially distanced and wore masks.
