(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, has been notified by the City of Camden that crews will be conducting a utility tie-in for the Camden City Fleet Management Garage on Kaighn Avenue in Camden beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The project is expected to require the full closure of Kaighn Avenue between South 4th Street and Broadway.
“Road closures can create additional traffic, sudden stops and possible congestion throughout the surrounding area while crews are at work,” Holcomb said. “Motorists should be extra vigilant whenever they are traveling near a construction zone, and should be on alert for shifting traffic patterns and any crews, vehicles, or debris which may end up in the roadway.”
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews will close Kaighn Avenue between South 4th Street and Broadway. A posted detour route will guide motorists around the affected area.
This project is scheduled to be completed by 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
