(Lindenwold, NJ) – Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, has been notified by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) that crews will be installing a gas main on Hood Avenue/Hopkins Road in Audubon and Haddon Township beginning Monday, July 15. Throughout the duration of this project, the roadway will be fully closed between East Merchant Avenue and East Graisbury Avenue.
“This closure is in a heavily residential area, shifting traffic to nearby streets which may not be accustomed to the volume,” Shin Angulo said. “As with all projects that require closures, motorists should expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions in the area surrounding construction. Additionally, you should be extra cautious and attentive when driving near construction crews and vehicles.”
Beginning Monday, July 15, and ending on Monday, August 5, crews will close the affected stretch of roadway on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will be directed along a posted detour route to circumvent the affected area.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of work hours on Monday, August 5. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
