On Saturday, March 11th, the Camden County Freeholder Board and Veterans Advisory Committee hosted the 29th Annual Veterans Prayer Breakfast.

“Each year, this breakfast brings our Veterans community together to nourish our bodies and souls,” said Freeholder Bill Moen. “This annual event pays tribute to our fallen heroes through food and fellowship with those that will never forget the sacrifice they made.”

At the prayer breakfast, Arthur Bancroft and Brittany James were honored with special recognition medals. Arthur served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from September 1958 to December 1961, and worked for the Camden County Office of Veterans Affairs for 15 years before retiring last year. Brittany is the widow of Lance James, a United States Marine that died in December 2016. Lance served two tours of duty in the Middle East.

The Freeholder Board uses this opportunity to honor our veterans from all branches of service for their sacrifices and contributions to our grateful nation.  Camden County veterans attended with their spouses, children and grandchildren. This annual service provides an opportunity for the community to show our collective gratitude to the more than 33,000 veterans living throughout Camden County.
