Five New COVID-19 Caused Deaths Announced in Camden County

(Gloucester Township, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing five new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 95 additional cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 12,520 in Camden County and 580 total fatalities.

 

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult period,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “As we head into the weekend, remember that it is up to every one of us as individuals to make choices that will help to stop the spread of this disease and protect the people around us. We know how to beat this, but it won’t happen on its own. The Department of Health is announcing 95 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

 

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,555 confirmed resident cases and 658 staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 12,520 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this time, 343 resident deaths have been reported from these facilities, as well as three staff deaths, out of our 580 total fatalities countywide.

The county Health Department is currently working to trace close contacts of these newest cases. The investigations are still ongoing, and we will update the public with new developments as the information is gathered by our investigators.
