Electrical Fire with Dean Howarth

As the turn of the 19th century the study of Electrical Fluids was transforming from a titilating parole reception to a true form of modern science.

During Ben Franklin’s time the escapades of the “Electricians” was a form of entertainment where doses of Electrical Fluids were distributed to the audience.  Ladies gave electrified kisses, hair stood on end and the latest electrical toys were on display.

Bases on his experience as a veteran science educator and collaborator with museums and historic sites, Dean Howarth, in his role as “Natural Philosopher”. will use a collection of replicas of instruments and promos to engage and entertain his audience.  He will recreate some of those experiments and share stories of the early days of Electrical Fire.

Presentation is for 2 PM – 3 PM at the Indian King Tavern Museum in Haddonfield.
