Event Navigation
Join The Center at Camden County College for the lecture series “1968: The Year that Changed America” on Wednesdays at 7 PM in Civiv Hall.
This week’s topic is “The World Will Know Peace: Opposition to the War in Southeast Asia” led by Katarina Kean from University of Maryland. The opposition to the war in Vietnam was comprised of actors who crossed lines of race, class, and political affiliation. United in their desire to end the war, these activists disagreed on tactics, goals, and ethics. Kean will discuss the movement and assess whether it shortened or prolonged the war.
